Marion, affectionately known as Mare Bear or KnightMare or Baby Girl or Little Mama, is a 2023 vintage, grade percheron filly out of a working line in South Dakota. She was bought sight-unseen, and was shipped to Maine to live on Elmcrest Farm upon weaning. Her initial training was done in partnership with Chelsea Canedy at Unexpected Farm in Wales, Maine. With an intelligent, curious, and willing personality, along with a bit of spice and determination, she makes the most perfect partner for Jenn.
Jenn, often known as Mom, Auntie, or Ms. J, is a 1988 vintage woman out of a working line, hailing from coastal southern Maine. She is an avid hiker, equestrian, environmentalist, writer, photographer, and helps to run her family farm in Central Maine. With a tenacious, curious, aspirational, and powerful personality, she makes the most perfect partner for Marion.
